SNCW (Sunday Night Club West) is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization with about 50 members. We are a social club for singles over age 40. Our emphasis is on activities rather than dating, but some of our members met at SNCW and are now married. We allow these married couples to remain in the club, but you must be single to join.
Members sponsor 10 to 15 social activities per month (see Monthly Activities page for current choices). If you want to attend an event and don't want to go alone, come join us and sponsor the event for the club. Then others can sign up to go with you. It works well, as we have a wide variety of interests and count on our members to suggest things they'd like to do.
Our main activity each week remains our Sunday night meetings at the Clements Community Center from 5:45 pm to 8 pm. The Center is a very nice facility with large round tables for socializing. We normally eat a meal together from about 6 to 7 pm. The meal is provided by volunteers in the club. They get reimbursed for their expenses and their admittance fee is waived for that evening. There are usually two meal volunteers each week to help lighten the load, and they can either cook the meal or buy already prepared food (like pizza or sub sandwiches). After the meal, we have some club announcements about recent and future activities. Then the speaker or entertainment for the evening usually lasts from about 7 to 8 pm. We have to leave by 8:15 pm at the latest, but some of us often go to Baker St Pub in Belmar for a beverage and continue our socializing.
Please look at the Sunday Meetings page to make sure we are meeting at the Clements Community Center when you want to visit us, as there are a few Sundays during the year when we don't meet there. On those rare occasions, we enjoy holiday picnics, Super Bowl party, Colorado Rockies games, or our annual holiday dinner/dance. Compared to other singles clubs in the area, SNCW membership dues is inexpensive. It's only $25 for three months or $85 for a full year.
